Photoshop not loading

Question

After installing the newest update, I am not able to open photoshop - When opening the application, I get just a grey screen, with some lighter grey outlines of where buttons should be. It sometimes says the programme has been suspended in task manager.

I cant access the application itself to change preferences, I have uninstalled, reinstalled the new version and old version. I have reset my laptop and there is around 400GB free on my SSD.

Can anyone help because this is really frustrating.

Did this start happening after you updated the application? Can you please show us how the app screen looks?

Along with what @Derek Cross said, you can try running Photoshop as an administrator. Right-click on the Photoshop shortcut or executable file and select "Run as administrator." This can help overcome permission-related issues that might prevent Photoshop from running correctly.

As you don't get the option to go to preferences, please try the manual method and reset your Photoshop preferences to defaults.
Hold down the Shift+Ctrl+Alt (Windows) keys to reset preferences immediately after launching Photoshop. A dialog box will appear, asking if you want to delete the Adobe Photoshop Settings file. Confirm and let Photoshop launch with default preferences. Please back up your assets before trying this.
