Photoshop Not Responding 21.1.0

I am unable to open any of my recent files. I've tried with older versions, restarting my MacBook Pro and nothing. I just get the spinning wheel. 

Please help, need to get some files created asap.

Hi there,

Sorry that you cannot open your files in Photoshop 21.1.0 as the app starts to freeze.

Would you mind resetting the preferences of Photoshop and let us know if it helps?
To restore preferences quickly using a keyboard shortcut: Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift (Windows) or Option+Command+Shift (Mac OS) as you start Photoshop. You are prompted to delete the current settings. The new preferences files are created the next time you start Photoshop.

Also, make sure that you back up all your custom presets, brushes & actions before restoring Photoshop's preferences. https://helpx.adobe.com/in/photoshop/using/preset-migration.html

Thanks, Akash, I was able to open my files once I had downloaded them from DropBox. I'm usually able to work on them without doing that. ended up solving it that way. Thanks for your response.
