Hi, everyone out there,

I have 16 GB ram but my photoshp 2020 version 22.5.6 20220204.r.749 810e0a0 x64, shows only 4 GB in total Ram slider, I had fixed my 2018 with regedit after reading an article posted right here, but how does it work with 2020. Thanks for giving a quick read.

Can you post screenshot please? I have 32 GB RAM installed, Photoshop shows 25GB available. Thats normal because OS and services will ocuppy significant portion of your RAM memory that does not count as available to Photoshop and other apps.

With total of 8 GB RAM installed it is normal that Photoshop recognizes 4GB because the rest is occupied by OS and can not be used. Above screenshot is OK.

Yes, but if there was a hack fix involving a registry edit, that would also limit on the OS side. He says he has 16 GB.

I seem to vaguely remember a bug that could be temporarily worked around this way. But IIRC, it was also clearly stated that the fix was temporary and should be reversed once the bug had been fixed (which it was pretty quickly).

A registry edit would still be in effect in Windows.

So he needs to figure out what he did, and undo it.
