Photoshop not working after opening files from Lightroom

This is a new issue I've had recently. When opening a photo from Lightroom into Photoshop, nothing works. All options are greyed out, clicking on adjustment layer does nothing. The only things that aren't greyed out are under the "file" toolbar at the top. Any ideas what is causing this? It seemed to fix itself for one session but now I'm having the issue again.

Hi

It is a known issue. The simple workaround is to start Photoshop first. Then go to Lightroom and use "Edit in Photoshop"
