Photoshop Notes problem

Opening some of my older images, there is the old Notes icon on the image and nothing in the Notes tab. Is there a way to remove the Notes icon?

Click on the Notes Tool in the tools panel located in the same tool slot as the Eyedropper Tool.

Then you should be able to to double click on the Note icon to see any notes in the Notes panel.

There are several ways to get rid of the Note inludeing clicking Clear All in the tool options bar, right clicking on

the Note and clicking Delete All Notes and clicking on Trash icon in the Notes panel.
