Photoshop opens raw image but Raw 15.2 window does not appear

Running PS 24.2 with latest Raw plugin on Windows 10 Pro multi monitor workstation.

I right right on Raw file and open with photoshop. It's spins and the Raw 15.2 window never appears.

I know it is open somewhere because I can enter CTRL + S and I get a SAVE OPTIONS tab.

I followed someone's thread to open in photoshop using crtl+T, then alt, then cntl+enter.

While it opened the raw file in photshop, it didn't open the Raw edit window.

It almost seems as if the RAW window is off screen somewhere and I can't access it.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I've tried recreating this on Windows 10 & 11 on my machines, and I couldn't recreate this. How have you positioned your displays, vertically or horizontally?

Please record your screens & share the video here. As a basic step, reset Camera Raw & Photoshop.

For Camera Raw,

  • Hold down the Ctrl + ALT key and select Edit > Preferences > Camera Raw (Windows).
  • Click Yes in the dialog that asks, 'Delete the Camera Raw Preferences?'

Go to the location of the preference folder below and rename it to backup. https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html

  • Windows 10/11: Users/[user name]/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop [version]/Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings
  • Press Windows + R & type this is the Run Window - %APPDATA%\Adobe

  • Rename the Adobe Photoshop folder by adding a .old at the end. (Adobe Photoshop 2023 > Rename > Adobe Photoshop 2023. old)

These changes will give a fresh start to Photoshop as a fresh install. Let me know how it goes.

Thanks!

Sameer K,

Your solution worked. Deleting the Camera Raw preference was the solution.

I can't thank you enough.

The best to you.

Thanks.

Tom
