Have not used printer since it died, new printer now, When print selected in Photoshop, program closes.

What are you default printer settings?
I would try going into another application and trying to print just to see if the same problems exist there. If it happens in other programs, it may be something with your printing setup that is causing the application to fail.

See if there is an updated printer driver.
What version Photoshop and on what OS are you running it on?
You have to be sure you installed the latest updates to Photoshop because they do fix Print bugs.
