Photoshop requesting credentials in a loop

I had installed Creative Cloud as an administrator (call the account A) on my MacBook Pro, and then had to create a new standard account (call it B). When I try to run Photoshop as B, it goes into a loop prompting for my Adobe account credentials, and each time I enter them, it just prompts again, and never actually runs the application. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I think you need to go into your Preferences and give Photoshop Access. Here is a help doc that might answer the question for you: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/required-permissions-for-photoshop0.html

Let us know if that works or if you are still having the issue?

One other note - just for good measure, I granted Photoshop "Full Disk Access". Still made no difference.


Ok, brute force solved the problem. I suspected Norton Security had some hidden hooks even after it was disabled, so I uninstalled it. The final step of removing all Norton files, broke the system, and I could no longer run Safari / App Store etc. 

So I put the Macbook into Safe mode, took a full backup, and made a second copy of all the user folders, then  did a clean install of Sonoma, then added back users A (admin) and B (standard user), then reinstalled all apps, including CC and Photoshop. Both A and B are now able to run Photoshop with no problem, without any further tweaking.

A couple of updates - found this article that suggested it could be caused by security/antivirus software preventing access to the MacOS keychain. However, standard users cannot disable Norton Security, which is what I use. So I upgraded the user to an admin, disabled Norton, and tried again. No go - problem remains the same.

Then tried uninstalling CC, but that again requires you to log in, and you get into the same login loop. Finally, tried logging into my Adobe Account, which works fine, then installing the app while logged into the Mac as the new admin user. That gets me back into the same login loop.

So I'm back at square one, and can only use CC if I'm logged into the Mac as the original admin user.

Is opening a case with Adobe even an option ?
