Photoshop scaling is off after update

Hi everyone, I am hoping to get some thoughts on a problem with scaling in Photoshop.

I had put off the recent update for some time, simply because I've been busy. But I finally updated this last week, and now Photoshop does not look correct anymore. There is clearly a problem with scaling after the update.

Before the update, I had the proper amount of visual real estate within Photoshop. It looked something like this:

After the update however, it seems as though the entire workspace has shrunk, so I have less space for everything:

None of my settings have changed. Everything is exactly as it always has been. So clearly something has changed on Adobe's side that is making it not look right.

Aside from the fact that it has shrunk my workspace, it also makes parts of Photoshop look lower quality. For example, images in my CC image library now spill over beyond the image grid. That did not happen before. You can see what I mean here:

So far, the only way I can make Photoshop look close to like it did before is by scaling Windows to 100%. However, when I do this, all my other apps are now too small and don't look right. And even then, the above issue with the CC image library still occurs.

For reference, I am working on a Dell XPS 15 (1080 HD display, not 4K).

Again, all I did was update Photoshop. I have adjusted every setting I can imagine to try to make it look correct again, to no avail. I changed the UI scaling to 100% instead of Auto, but it makes no difference. I have reset all my Photoshop settings, but again, no change. I even tried reverting back to the old version of Photoshop, but that didn't fix anything either, which is confusing to me.

If anyone has any idea what has happened that is causing this bug, and especially what I can do to correct it, I would appreciate it.

Although it does not prevent me from using Photoshop, it is a pain and is distracting during the creative process for me. Your help is appreciated! Thanks!

Photoshop answered my question on Twitter. They sent me to this link, which answered the question: UI Doubled In Size

Basically, the answer is - right now, it cannot be fixed. When they updated Photoshop, they made UI scaling changes that caused the change from their end. So, I can try to work with it, but there's no way to actually make it look like it did before.

Although that's not the answer I was hoping for, it at least lets me know I wasn't imagining things! Hopefully Photoshop will fix the issue in subsequent updates, but for now, I can work with it.

Before the update there were many problems with  Adobe UI scaling which you were not using you had it set to 100%. Had you  set it scale 2X you may have been bitten by some oh the Bugs in Adobe old UI scaling. UI scaling now works and is automatically done correctly. What issue the Library issue does not seem to be new in you screen captures.. It in you old capture as well.

I've seen there were problems before, and I'm sure the update is great for most people. I'm only pointing out that in my situation (and apparently for some others as well) the update caused the Photoshop workspace to not look as good as it used to. The issue with the CC Library, which did not exist prior to the update, is evidence of this. Again, there's nothing I can do about it, since all the options mentioned in this reply from Adobe don't change the issue. It will be up to Adobe to change this in future updates, or not. Thanks for your input!

The UI is scaled using your Windows Display scaling setting automatically on windows 10 you most likely have your Photoshop  UI scale set to 100% this is no longer used on Windows 10.   Right Click on your Windows 10 desktop select display settings adjust the setting. I do not know why your Library display is messed up.

If you look your Library display is messed up in both your screen captures. If you set Windows scaling to 100% you should be back to that screen capture.
