Photoshop: Sky Replacement Foreground Lighting Layer causes harsh line on photo

Using PS Sky Replacement.  The Forground Lighting Layer causes a harsh line on the photo.  (See attached.)   I do not want to change the scale of th sky, as the clouds will be distorted.  I would prefer to have the foreground lighting layer cover the entire photo.  [Photoshop 23.5.1 Release. Mac OS 10.15.7]

Thank you.

Could you please post screenshots with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Options Bar, …) visible?

I'm using an Adobe Sky pic.  The settings are the defaulted options.

Thank you.

I want to see if you could edit the Layer Mask.

Can you please be more specific?  Would you like to see the Layers Panel, or the Toolbar | Layers dropdown?  (I'm not sure what the "Options Bar" is.)

Thank you.

Additionally if I Transform - Scale the Replace Sky Group, the light changes over the top of the photo.  It's as if the group is above the entire photo (which, as a layer it is), yet shouldn't it be behind the removed sky?

What is the problem with doing a screenshot that includes the pertinent Panels

Check out the Layer Mask on the Layer »Sky«.

alt-click its icon in the Layers Panel if you need to see it on its own and paint in the offending parts that are not fully black where they should be.

I did provide the "Pertinent Panels".  (See included screenshots above.)
Here is the issue:  When I perform the "Sky Replacement", the result is a harsh line due to the foreground lighting panel.
I believe this is due to the fact that PS has decided where the horizon should be set and, based on this calculation, shrinks the picture of the replacement sky down.  Therefore, the "sky" layer is much smaller than original photo's layer.  (It is probably exacerbated by the fact that the original photo is in the portrait orientation, rather than landscape.)

Is this correct?

You did not provide the requested screenshot.

I asked for »screenshots with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Options Bar, …) visible«, not »screenshots of individual Panels«.

Say what?

The sky is on a Layer of its own with a Layer Mask, isn’t it?

So if you are dissafisfied with the result, improve it and edit the Layer Mask.

Again, please be more specific, or provide an example (in the form of a screenshot) that you would like to see.  Obviously, I would provide one, if I knew what you were asking for.

Yes, the Replacement Sky is on it's own layer.  I stated that.  That sky picture on that layer is smaller (cut off at the horizon) than the original photo.  The harsh foreground line is at that cut off point.  Editing the Layer Mask will not affect this.  It is the fact that the picture on the layer, and the foreground lighting is cut off, due to PS deciding where the horizon should be.

Just provide the layered file please.

Why would painting on the Layer Maks not affect the masked Layer?

Have you considered unlinking the Layer Mask and scaling the Layer itself?
