Question

Photoshop soft locks when an error notification pops up.

Whenever photoshop gives me an error notification, like for instance when I try to make a brush stroke in a locked layer, there is a chance my application will soft lock. Photoshop is not crashing however I don't think. When I try to press "OK" the button turns blue, and white again when I let go of my mouse like it should, but for some reason the error notification won't disappear.

The only way I've found to get out of this state is to pull and epic gamer prank and bamboozle my PC by pressing the "shutdown" option, and pressing "cancel" when my PC asks me if I wanna close all open applications before shutting down. This somehow allows me to press the "Ok" button and close the error notification.

Hi

Which exact version of Photoshop and operating system are you using, have you tried resetting PS preferences, you may want to backup your settings beforehand
