PS version 21.0.1
opening a panorama image in 3D view shows a low quality, pixelated image.
method:
open equirectangular panorama image - 3D - Spherical Panorama - New Panorama Layer From Selected Layer(s) ---> at this point i can only see the pixelated image
and so if i edit the image:
create new layer - Healing brush tool (replace mode) - (copying the roof line, the cupola, etc) - merge down - Export Panorama.
Now. As for the resolution:
imported image size: 6720x3360 px
exported image size: 6720x3360 px
so no issue there!
As for the quality though:
the copied parts are blurry, pixelated (as copied from the blurry 3D view), the rest of the image is just like the imported image, sharp.
it worked fine f.e. in version 2018.v19.1.2
why did you screw it up, Adobe?
please fix!

hi Andrew,
i reached out to Adobe Support, had quite a long chat with some support people, they even told me that the problem might be with my computer, because have to have the latest drivers for graphics and all... but sure it was not that.
So they opened a case and... yeah, that's basically it.
Here's their final answer:
"Greetings from Adobe!
I'm not really hopeful though, because there were already several updates since i myself discovered this bug, and it's still not fixed.

Thanks for the update!
Fingers crossed Adobe fixes it. I think I'll open a case with them too, just to keep the pressure on.

funny enough, i contacted adobe support to open the case again, because it is not resolved,
and they told me that this PS update was just a normal update.
- okay, so what kind of update shall we wait for? - i asked.
- a future update.
it would be funny if it wasn't sad.

v 21.2.1 update just arrived.
had high hopes as it stated: "This update addresses several critical bugs, crashes, canvas drawing errors, and painting issues."
well, the canvas loses resoluation after the making the layer 3D -> Spherical Panorama -> New Panorama Layer From Selected Layer(s). Once that happens, the healing brush tool picks up this low resolution.
issue NOT FIXED.
my only solution is still to go back to an older version of PS,
for example: 2018.v19.1.2

yup! me too..having this issue with 360 preview in PS ever since version 2019!! I'm on 21.2.4 and still super blurry and pixelated. and i can't go back to 2018 because I.T sent me a new laptop at work and can't install a previous version. This is REALLY bad ADOBE. I've already updated all graphics drivers.
