Photoshop has recently started to say -

philr74265807_0-1687464350568.png

Lightroom Classic never complains; I checked DX Diag as below and tried AMD tool for driver upgrade but nothing seemed to happen any idea why it is not recognising the level 12 if that is what the DX level is ? Not a techie just want Photoshop to work

DX Diag tells me this is the card

Processor: AMD A10-9700 RADEON R7, 10 COMPUTE CORES 4C+6G (4 CPUs), ~3.5GHz

DirectX Version: DirectX 12

Thanks

Phil

Hi @philr74265807 you have upgraded your software past the point of compatibility. Based on the limited information it appears you need to update your GPU driver. The Radeon R7 A10-9700 only supports DirectX12.0 and 12.1 is required for newer Photoshop installs.

I don't know what the Older GPU option does, but it might be worth trying

Thanks - have had chance to try this and it has had no impact but was worth trying; had another go at upgrading the driver but still get the same message. Looks like I will have to limp along with no GPU - thanks for your help
