Photoshop still cant open HEIC

Newest version still cant open HEIC. Yes, I installed the linked software to no avail.

OS is Windows 10.0.19045.5371, Ps is 2025 26.2.0 20241207.r.140 bc85906 x64

No problems here using Windows 11, Photoshop v26.3 and the standard HEIC and HEVC support tools from Microsoft.
Have you checked against a sample file, just to rule out whether there is something specific in your particular files? Samples can be downloaded here https://heic.digital/samples/

I checkt with the sample-files and got the above warning.

No problem on Mac (Photoshop 26.2.0, Mac OS 14.6.1), either. 

What is the link to the »required software«?

The HEIC and HEVC support tools should be downloaded from the Microsoft store. One is charged for.
