photoshop: Transparency in miniatures in the layers window, after masking is gone.

Photoshop 2024 25.0.0  on Apple M1 Ventura 13.6:

Transparency in the miniatures in the layers window, after masking is gone.

Before the last update, when I added a mask to a layer, the miniature in the layer-window showed transparency in the masked areas.

When I then right-mouse-clicked I could select the not masked pixels in the menu. Which was super handy. And is promoted in many tutorials.

Now this transparency in the miniatures seems to be gone and hence the funtionality to select the not masked pixels. When I now click select pixels the whole image gets selected...

Am I doing something wrong?

If you Control (Windows) / Command (macOS) + click on the layer mask in the Layers panel, you can load the selection.

I’m not entirely sure what your issue is. Are you saying that you’re unable to see the contextual menu when you right-click on the mask?
