Here is some general Adobe [Mac and Win] info on printing problems,

https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/troubleshoot-printing-problems.html

Simple reset: hold the space bar when you open the print window. It resets the print dialogs

if that doesn’t help -

Perhaps try resetting Photoshop preferences?

(read this entire post before acting please)

Resetting restores Photoshop's internal preferences, which are saved when Photoshop closes.

If they become corrupt then various issues can occur.

Here’s some info on how to do that:

Manually removing preferences files is the most complete method for restoring Photoshop to its default state:

https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#Manually

The user Library folder is hidden by default on macOS.

To access files in the hidden user Library folder, see here for how to access hidden user library files. https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/access-hidden-user-library-files.html

Unexpected behavior may indicate damaged preferences. Restoring preferences to their default settings is a good idea when trying to troubleshoot unexpected behaviors in Photoshop. check out the video

And here’s an earlier forum discussion as an aid to understanding

You may want to backup your settings and custom presets, brushes & actions before restoring Photoshop's preferences.

Here is general info about that:  https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#BackupPhotoshoppreferences

Preferences file locations: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/preference-file-names-locations-photoshop.html\

Before you reset your preferences, in case of future issues, I suggest you make a copy as Adobe may need one to check problematic references.

Quit Photoshop.
Go to Photoshop's Preferences folder:
in MacOS see: Users/[user name]/Library/Preferences/Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings

be aware that the user Library folder is hidden by default on macOS.

In the Finder, open the “Go” menu whilst holding down the Option (Alt) key.

Library will now appear in the list - below the current user's “home” directory.

Now you can drag the entire Adobe Photoshop [Version] Settings folder to the desktop or somewhere safe as a back-up of your settings.

I hope this helps

This has just started happening to me too - Photoshop just closes on Print with no warning. I just managed to print the job with another app, so it's definitely Photoshop - latest version, Windows 10, latest update. I don't have time to investigate it now, but will check the above later on, but thought i should report it anyway.

We're sorry to hear about Photoshop crashing when you try to print something. Could you please let us know what operating system you're working on?

Hi there,

We're sorry about the issue that you see when trying to print in Photoshop.

Could you please share the version of Photoshop (Help > About Photoshop) and the version of Windows on your computer? What printer are you using, make, and model?

In most cases, Photoshop crashes on the print command if there is a conflict in the printer drivers. Could you try reinstalling the printer drivers? Also, could you try rolling back the printer driver to a previous version and see if that helps? If that doesn't work, please check if an update is available for the printer drivers.

Could you please try pressing and holding the Space key on the keyboard when you hit File > Print in Photoshop and let us know how it goes?

If none of these works, you can try to reset the preferences of Photoshop using the steps mentioned here: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#reset_preferences

Please backup your settings prior to resetting the preferences.

You can check https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#BackupPhotoshoppreferences.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks.
