Photoshop Type Tool Not Working

After the latest update my Photoshop Type tool quit working. Nothing appears when I type, It just shows the flashing line. I am confused because In my layers it says exactly what I had typed yet nothing is showing. I have uninstalled and reinstalled photoshop and still have the issue.

    Maybe you are typing out in a huge font size, have you tried decreasing the font size to a 12pt or 14? Usually nothing appears when the font size is too large.

    I am also having this problem whenever I type it just shows up with the blinking cursor and I've tried every option you guys suggested and none of them have worked. Can somebody help I have been dealing with this issue for about 2 days now.

      I tried all of this, the size of the font and the opacity, but my cursor isn't even moving. When I look on the layers pallet, it shows that I typed something, but it is not on my screen at all.

      I had the same problem, but maybe you should try uninstalling photoshop and download it again? It worked for me

      Could be any number of reasons. The one that Bahaar mentioned, the type being too large.

      It could also be that the color of the type is the same color as the underlying layer. Or it could be that the layer opacity is set to zero %.

      A screen capture of the issue would be helpful.
