Photoshop update not working, able to use old version?

Question

I, unfortunately, updated Photoshop and Lightroom via Creative Cloud to Mac OS Big Sur Version 11.7.10 (on MacBook Pro Retina, 15 inch, mid 2014) and now unable to open or utilize the programs. Is it possible to revert to a previous version to work with my current system? My desktop is new- should not be a problem with that, although would be nice to have it available on the MacBook as well.

What happens when you try to run either the updated versions of Photoshop or Lighroom?

According to the Photoshop system requirements, Big Sur is supposed to support the latest Photoshop, albeit some features

may not work as well as they would on say macOS Sonoma 14, however, it seems the newest Lightroom Classic versions no longer support Big Sur.

You should be able to uninstall the updated versions and install Photoshop 2023 (ps version 24.7.3) and Lightroom Classic 12.5.1, which should run on Big Sur.
