My laptop is old and only has Sierra on (Macbook pro) and now photoshop will not open? I can not update my laptop, it wont let me, can I use an old version of photoshop?

How old is your laptop? What are the specs of your laptop? Photoshop has certain system requirements for each version.

2.2 GHz Intel Core i7

Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB

Here are the minimum system requirements for Photoshop CC 2024 for a Mac:

2 GHz or faster processor with SSE 4.2 or later with 64-bit support
macOS Big Sur (version 11.0) or later
8 GB of RAM

That's the minimum.
