Photoshop updated - "color" layer not showing correct color

I just updated to Photoshop CC 20 but a layered Photoshop file that I created in the previous version (version 19) isn't showing colors accurately.

Here are 2 images (see Dropbox link below). The left image was created in the previous version(19) (just 2 weeks ago) and I just opened it up into the latest version and the image on the right is what I see. The color of the skin around the eye is accurately depicted in the left image. The layer is controlled with a layer set to "color mode".

I'm hopeful that I can make the change by hand but I'm concerned that the different versions don't appear the same way and that this may affect more artwork.

Please see the image here:

Oddly, if I attempt to use the CROP tool, the colors momentarily change to how they should appear. Then setting the crop, the colors revert to the inaccurate colors. So I thought it was a display driver issue. I updated the driver and I still have issues.

It would be great to know if anyone else is experiencing any differences in files from version 19 to 20.

BTW - video card drivers were updated:

NVIDIA Quadro K4200

Driver: 416.30

NVIDIA GeForce Experience - Version 3.15.0.186

PC (Dell) Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-1630 v3 @ 3.70GHz

32G RAM

You need to go to Preferences / Performance, then in the section titled "Options" near the bottom and make sure the checkbox title "Legacy Compositing" is checked.
