Question

Photoshop won't let me make new projects

Hi all,

My Photoshop is being a bit weird for two weeks now. If I open .psd files I can edit them with no problem. But when I make a new file I can't do anything. I fill in the width and height and after I click on 'OK' I just can't do anything. I can't place any files in the project. When I add a rectangle or something I also doesn't show up in the layers section.

Anyone know how I can fix this problem?

Thanks in advance.

Try resetting preferences if you can. Ctrl-k on windows or cmd-k on mac. You will find the reset preference button at the bottom of the dialog box. Then restart photoshop.

It won't help. Still can't edit anything to a new project.

Even if I drag a object or picture from a working project into the new one, it doesn't show up in the layer section. If I click on the default white background in the layer section, the only things that happens is the noise when there is an 'error' in Photoshop.
