Photopshop 2023 won't open files or create new ones it stays on the home menu. InDesign, Illustartor and Acrobat work perfect. I have an iMac 27inch 2014 with i7, 32 gb ram r9 m296x running Mac os Ventura. On monterey it worked just fine. If I disable gpu acceleration it can open files but that's not a solution. Tried reinstall, prefrences delete and reset, other ps versions etc. Photoshop works  fine on my mac pro 5.1 (monterey), macbook pro 2017 15inch (ventura),works in my macbook pro 2015 that also runs ventura. havent tried using my mac mini m1 because it's my server. I'm at loss and sick and tired of running constanlty into problems with the adobe apps especialy with phothshop. Never had such problems with corel apps.

Hi @Panos5CD0 your 2014 with the Radeon M296X is not Metal compatible due to Ventura.

The issue is you've upgraded your OS past the point of compatibility.

Are you using OpenCore Legacy Patcher to run macOS Ventura 13.x.x on the 2014 iMac?

Try logging into another Mac user account (you should make a new one); still locking up?
Try starting up in Safe mode (hold down Shift Key when booting*), still locking up?
You might want to try running a free utility like Onyx: still locking up?

From Adobe:

* How to start your M1/M2 Mac in Safe Mode
On your Mac, choose Apple menu () > Shut Down.
After your Mac shuts down, wait 10 seconds.
Press and hold the power button until the startup disks and Options appear.
Press and hold the Shift key, then click Continue in Safe Mode.

Try fixing permissions by running Disk Utility (Disk First Aid) or, again, using Onyx.
