Photoshop Workspaces

put in what seems like hours over the last few months finetuning my PS Workspace to have all of my most used tools readily accessible.  stepped aside for a couple of hours to visit the Zoo with my 12 and 10 year old granddaughters.  Midnight and everybody is quiet so I sat down to work again on super important (to me) project.  Creative Cloud, the all-knowing, couldnt stand my personalized PS and the added comfort I felt with the tool  and upgraded it and Bridge.  I immediately felt violated as the Workspace looked nothing like MY WORKSPACE!!  WHERE IS MY WORKSPACE!! WHERE ARE THE PAST 4 VERSIONS OF MY FINALIZED AND AMAZINGLY SUITED TO MY STYLE..WORKSPACE!!!  WHY would Adobe take my highly tuned workspace during an upgrade??  Does it sound like I am upset?  I cant even describe how empty I feel at this juncture.

Also, go into Creative Cloud Preferences > Apps and turn off "Auto-Update" so you can decide when to update.

if you saved your workspace it's recoverable along with all the other saved workspaces in window>workspaces.

Are they not listed under Window > Workspace anymore?

Have you searched for the .psw-files?

As for the future: You can disable auto-upgrading and if you don’t do so already back-up your customized presets from time to time.
