When you take 79920 pixels (your first size) and make them into 319680 pixels (your second size) Photoshop has to make up the content of all those extra pixels.

There are various algorithms for doing this and you can choose which in the Export As dialogue, and in the Image Size dialogue if using that. Bicubic Automatic or Preserve details is likely to give the better results. You definitely do not want to use Nearest Neighbour. None though will be perfect as you are creating an image with four times more pixels thatn those you are starting with.

Dave, sorry to say that the procedure you mentioned didn't work out. Still, I got the same kind of result(Pixelate)
Do you got any other specific ideas?

Thanks,
Dave

Dave, I've found out a bigger image resolution (1920 x 900). Let me know if you find me a solution for exporting as 1x & 2x.

Hi

Use either Export Save for Web legacy or Export As and scale down to your required size.

Note when viewing the results check them at 100% zoom, no more  and no less.

100% zoom maps 1 image pixel to 1 screen pixel. If you zoom in closer than that you will see the image pixels e.g. at 200% 1 image pixel is mapped onto 4 screen pixels, at 400% 1 image pixel is mapped onto 16 screen pixels.

How big is your original, in pixels? This isn't going to work if you're starting out with a 360 x 222 original.

This Export function is intended to start with a much bigger original, and then saving out smaller copies at the specified sizes.
