Hi everybody,

I just got an issue, it feels like some pixel lines are being moved randomly on the frames taken only by my Nikon D700 while displaying on PS. Or, the pics I take with the Nikon D810 dont that show problem in PS.

And when I display in the Windows viewer nothing like this happens....

So is there sth about the old .NEF's not being correctly handled by the last PS version ? Or did I screw up some parameters in PS ?

PS: On other pictures the pattern moves horizontally and the width of the pattern is different and kinda unique for each pics.....

Thanks for taking care !!!!

Hello, do they show in Camera Raw? Which exact version of ACR and Photoshop (check in help>system info...) are you running?
What do you call the Ps Viewer? Bridge?

PS : 21.1.1 20200312.r.121 2020/03/12: c839971b587 x64

ACR : 12.2.0.386

That looks like corrupt files. Can you zoom in on these stripes? That indicates file corruption.

File corruption is always caused by failing hardware (disk, RAM, cables, connectors, memory card). Neither Photoshop nor ACR can cause this.

Note that the embedded jpeg preview may still appear correctly in other photo viewers. They don't show the full raw data.

That pink pixel array looks weird, never seen anything like that. Still, my money is on corrupt files.

The alternative is a video card bug. To rule that out, uncheck "use GPU" in ACR preferences.

Any hardware in the file pipeline can fail and thus cause corruption. But if it's on the camera side, memory card/cables/card reader/connectors is much more likely than the camera itself.
