Question

PIXELATED LETTERS AND PICTURES

After various times of de-installing and installing photoshop all my -place embedded- pictures are pixelated. I can't get it fixed. The same with Lettertypes installed thru Apple lettercataloque. Also these letters are pxelated. Can't get it fixed either. It all happens about a week ago.

By the way: I reset in preferences photoshop also.

I can't get on with my projects because of this problems!

Who has the solution?

Thanks in advance,

Paul

Hmmh?

Why not?

We are members like you.

We are not sitting in front of your computer.

We do not know your settings - and what you have done.

What @c_pfaffenbichler wrote is the only way to try to help you with your problem.

Thanks for the screenshots.

It seems you have an embedded Smart Object with width 236px and height 315px. IMHO to small.

What is the resolution of the main document (in which the Smart Object was placed) ?

I have used this picture and others more times in PS, never hed the problem since I have two weeks. If I open a pcture in PS with <open> than everything looks great. No pixelated/blurry images. As soon as I use the <move tool> or  <place embedded> every picture looks pixelated/blurry. And this is the point I do not understand. Have done this always without problems. And nothing has been change with pitures I use from my gallery.

Have attached the same picture. I opened PS choose for <open> clicked this picture and see........ sharp like usual.

Regards,

Paul

PS: I never changed the Image size.

»As soon as I use the <move tool>«

Could you please post meaningful screenshots taken at View > 100% from before you do that and after?

Does turning off »Use Graphics Processor« in the Performance Preferences (Photoshop > Preferences > Performance > Graphic Processor Settings) and restarting Photoshop have any bearing on the issue?

»or  <place embedded> every picture looks pixelated/blurry.«

That is a meaningless statement if you don’t specify if, for example, the image might have gotten scaled when placing it.

And again, screenshots could have helped illustrate what you are doing.

@c_pfaffenbichler: To view the full size image, click the thumbnail, then right click the image and choose Open in new tab.

The image is indeed viewed at 400%, which will inevitably be pixelated.

View at 100% in Photoshop to see a true representation of the image.

Below is a 100% view of the screenshot.

Please provide meaningful information and screenshots (taken at View > 100% and with all the pertinent Panels visible).

I do not like your attitude. You may be a legend, unfortunally you can't understand the text of the problem I am facing.

Not only place-embedded but also pictures loaded directly into Photoshop are pixelated/blurry, same as fonts. What would I provide more. Screenshots? Does that help you to solve my problem? Ok, your way than. Size: facebook banner. Text is standard, picture is standard, nothing changed to it.

Above the preset details.

Underneath, the result I am facing now for over a week. Everything I do is pixelated/blurry

»I do not like your attitude.«

Not a one-way street.

The screenshot seems to have been downsampled (please make sure to post images with »Size: Large«), but the image seems to be displayed at 400% so pixelation would not be surprising.

Please post a screenshot taken at View > 100%.

What is the fileformat of the placed image »IMS_0854«?

815px x 315px at 300ppi amounts to just 69mm x 26,67mm, what is the image intended for?
