Place bitmap images as smart object in Photoshop

Hi all!

I don't know why Photoshop stopped to do this but, when I try to place a bitmap image dragging from a folder of my computer, it isn't place as a smart object. Anyone knows how can I set my Photoshop in order to fix this? I want that the images I place dragging be placed as smart object.

Hi

Check Preferences > General :

You will need to restart Photoshop after changing the setting
