Plugin vanished from Photoshop despite UXP Developer Tool saying it loaded successfully

Hello,
I am using an M1 Macbook Pro and I am currently learning the workflow for the Adobe UXP Developer Tool. I found a video, online, about how to test plugins. I followed this video, and it mentioned downloading a bunch of test plugins from github called AdobeDocs/uxp-photoshop-plugin-samples.

I cloned this repository onto my local drive, and I followed the directions for how to add one of the plugins via UDT. I added the plugin, clicked "load" and the plugin loaded successfully, appearing in a panel called "Kitchen Sink" (the folder name of the plugin is ui-kitchen-sink).

The video demonstrated the workflow of changing and reloading a script by altering the contents of one of the strings, and having it show up in the altered state on a photoshop panel. Following those directions, I changed the contents of one of the strings and, after saving it, I went to the "..." menu to reload the script. However, the "reload" button was greyed out. Finding this to be strange, I, instead, unloaded and reloaded the script. UDT indicated that the plugin successfully loaded. However, in Photoshop, the panel for the plugin was nowhere to be seen. It doesn't even show up in the list under the "Window" menu.

Perplexed, as I seemingly changed nothing about the script but a string, I undid all of my changes and tried to reload the original plugin, with all of the scripts back to their original state. UDT indicated the same behavior: successfully loaded, but nonexistent within photoshop.

The only guess I could make was that, somehow, having it as a repository was messing up how UDT interpreted and loaded plugins. This does not, whatsoever, correspond to my understanding of how git works, but I was unable to identify any other changes I could have possibly made to the setup that would have caused such a different behavior.

What I then did was remove the plugin from the UDT plugin list, close photoshop, close UDT, remake the plugins folder by pasting the contents via a zip file from github, and try that. I reloaded UDT, reloaded photoshop, made a new document (as before), added the plugin, and loaded the plugin. UDT, again, indicated that the plugin loaded successfully. Switching windows to Photoshop, again, nothing was appearing.

I am beyond perplexed, at this point. The only guess I have is that, maybe, the panel on Photoshop is hidden behind something, and Photoshop simply was saving the last position of said panel. However, if the panel existed, wouldn't it show up in the "Window" menu?

The images below show the successful loading of the UXP UI Kitchen Sink example plugin, and its disappearance from photoshop.

Why would this behavior be happening? It must be something super simple, but I am not seeing it.

I knew it was something simple. It doesn't show up under the "Window" menu. It shows up in the "Plugins" menu. From there, I can reload the plugin. This is a solved problem, now. Hopefully this helps others who might encounter similar confusion.

Are you running in Rosetta?

The Window list is for default panels. Does your custom panel show up under the Plug-Ins menu? (the menu item just left of the Window menu)
