I am running a Macbook Pro M4 2005, Sequoia 15.6.1 and Photoshop 26.10. The PlugIn menu is greyed out.

I am trying to setup Nix Collection 8. I can access the Nix plugions via the Filter menu but, want to be able to use the Plugin Panel. Help! Thanks

Correct answer JohnConrad1955

Someone who has Nik plugins installed will need to address the original issue.

"The Home icon is also greyed out, and the help menu is not responding" -- Ps or Nik app?

Are you logged into Creative Cloud? And with the same e-mail account?

Many versions ago, I had a problem with Ps because I had ignorantly used different e-mail accounts to log into Ps and CC.

I'm Grasping at straws again.

P.S. when Nik was uninstalled (if it was Ps that Home and Help was grayed out), were h&H grayed out?

Solved. I did a reformat of my hd and reinstalled osx. Photoshop works without problems. I had set up my new machine by migrating from an older machine. I guess that was the problem.

John, that's an antique M4! LOL It was introduced in 2024. No matter; your machine is up-to-date.

Is this your first time finding the plugin menu grayed-out? I'm assuming you mean Photoshop 2025>Plugins>Plugins Panel|Browse Plugins|Manage Plugins.

[edit to add:] I don't use the plugins, will have to go to whatever website you get Nik from to see if it is supposed to show up in the Plugins submenu.

If this is your first time installing Nik sotware, the following probably doesn't apply to you:

Why are Nik Collection apps either not appearing or are showing as duplicates within Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Photoshop Elements?

This information applies to all versions

This typically occurs if previous versions haven't been completely uninstalled. In such cases, we recommend using the Nik Cleaning Tool.

Yes, the plugin menu is greyed out as well as the home button.
