I have been working with PS CS6 for several years, and also have many plugins, like Akvis, Topaz, On one nature art. By downloading and updating PS CC, will these plugins be lost?

No you won't lose your plugins. PSCS6 can exist side by side with Creative Cloud on the same machine. However the plugins will not be automatically migrated. Also note that by installing Photoshop CC you will also install the Adobe Desktop Application. This application has the capability to install CS6 for Creative Cloud which is marginally different to CS6. Should you choose to do that then it will remove your old installation. The best thing to do is create an alternative plugin directory as it avoids problems with losing plugins after upgrades. The video below shows you how to do that beginning at about the 2 minute 40 second mark.

Create one Plugin folded and use sub-folders in it for each of the plug-in you install. That way you will only need to add one shortcut when toy install a new version of Photoshop. I also to the Same for Scripts I install I create a shortcut in Photoshop Presets\scripts to my scripts tree. All version of Photoshop I have install share a single copy of Plug-ins and Scripts I install..
Just a note some Plug-ins and scripts will not work installed this way! They have hard coded path coded in they expect the find their files relative to the currently running Photoshop install tree. For Example Image Processor Pro plug-in script and its other files must ne install in Photoshop's Presets\Scripts.

You've been given good information, and the plugins you mention should all work fine with CC 2017 (not I don't have any experience with Akvis). I am wondering if you have any older plugins? Around about the CS4 and CS5 time we had some 32 bit plugins — I miss autoFX Mystical lighting, for instance, but not enough to shell out for the updated version. If you are including Extensions then there is the Flash / HTML5 issue that left a lot of add-ons non-functioning after CC2014.?. I also miss the Trevor Morris Dmonzon Tools panel that never got updated for HTML5.
You'll certainly need to download new versions of some, if not all, but that's probably all the hassle you'll have.
Good to see you coming to Creative Cloud. It has a lot of great features over CS6.

If you are using Windows, and have some old 32-bit plugins that will never be updated, you can install a 32-bit version of Photoshop CC along side the64-bit version so you can still use the pugins. SeeDownload Photoshop

However, on Windows you can install a 64Bit version and a 32 Bit version of Photoshop and use old 32Bit plug-ins in the 32bit version. Some old 32bit Plug-in will not work in Creative cloud versions of Photoshop for some support has been removed. For example Both the 64bit and 32bit plug-in version of CS5 optional Plugin Web Photoshop Galleries and Picture Package will not work in Creative cloud versions of Photoshop.. They do work in perpetual version of Photoshop including Perpetual CS6 version 13.0.1.3. They do not work in subscription CS6 version 13.1.2...
Mac Photoshop is 64bit there is no longer 32bit support in Photoshop creative cloud versions.
