Thank you for sharing your sysinfo @David24812000tm4u. We are not able to reproduce your issue as you are seeing. Our tests using your .psd file do in fact export as transparent .pngs. Were you able to rollback to an earlier version of Ps and notice if the issue went away or is still there?

It might help if we see a video of your workflow, starting from the creation of the file you want to export as transparent and what might be happening along the way?

Hi @David24812000tm4u, thank you for the files. We tested your png and as you state, it is transparent in Ps, and when we exported and dragged into Chrome and Safari, it shows as trasnparent, so we are not seeing the issue you describe or others have mentioned to you.  Open Safari and then drag or select open file, does yours show up on the default white screen of Safari with no other color or tone behind it?

We would need some more info to help futher. It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.

Hey Cory, thanks for getting back to me...
   am uploading original psd (noticed it cant be shared - so added .eps)...... then screenshot of export - then exported file (all opens fine) but then screen shot of how it displays with background...

Seperate note, just tried copying and pasting from Illustrator to photoshop - and today for the first time in about 15 years it wont allow me to do that either....
