I made several images using Matlab. And they all have transparent backgrounds.

But when I open them in Photoshop, they have black backgrounds.

The original images have transparent backgrounds in other apps (MS word, PowerPoint).

What am I missing or doing wrong?

Please let me know.

What version of photoshop are you using?

Is the image that looks transparent on the forum, the orginal png created by Matlab?

LATEST

I am using version 24.5.0. It is the latest version as far as I know.

Yes. the left one is the original png created by Matlab.

Is there a solution that will keep the background information intact when imported in Photoshop?

Of course, I could manually apply background transparency to all the images and save them anew, but I'd prefer to keep the original images intact as small details are affected.
