Popups Appear on the wrong monitor

I have two monitors attached to my macbook. I use Photoshop on my 4K monitor to get the most space. Unfortunately, many Photoshop popups/modals appear on my macbook screen and not the screen where I'm actually using photoshop.

This is frustrating because many of the modals are small and blend in with the application that I have on my macbook screen, so it's easy to miss the fact that a popup is waiting for me and photoshop appears to be frozen because it's waiting for the modal to be closed. Please, for the love of everything wonderful, change the code so all modals open on the screen where I'm using photoshop. This has been an annoying problem for years.

I should note, it's not all modals. For example, modals such as "Image Size", "Canvas Size", and other modals like them, open on my macbook screen and need to be fixed. But, the "Content-Aware Fill" modal opens within the photoshop window so that one, and ones like it, are not a problem.

Please!!

Hey, @SecondHandKarate. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll help you figure this out.

Are you working on Apple Silicone-based or Intel-based machine? Try these suggestions:

1 - Set up the preferred monitor as the Primary monitor in your macOS: https://support.apple.com/en-in/guide/mac-help/mh40768/mac

2 - Go to the location of the preference folder below and rename it to backup. https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html

  • macOS: In the Finder, hold down the Option key when using the Go menu > Library > Go to Preferences/Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings
  • Rename the Adobe Photoshop folder by adding a .old at the end. (Adobe Photoshop 2023 > Rename > Adobe Photoshop 2023. old)

These changes will give a fresh start to Photoshop as a fresh install. Let me know how it goes. Thanks!
