Precise mouse for Pen Tool

New Here ,
Aug 04, 2022 Aug 04, 2022

Can anyone please suggest the most precise mouse for using with the Pen Tool?
I often want to select a fairly complex area of an image to copy but my mouse just doesn't seem accurate and stable enough to do a really good job.
Thanks so much for your help.

Have you considered using a Wacom Intuos Pen tablet?

Hi

I use both mouse and pen & tablet for drawing. However, I find the pen & tablet less precise than the mouse for making an exact pen path. The problem with a pen & tablet is that when clicking, by touching down on the tablet, it is easy to introduce some movement in the cursor.

I just use a normal (logitech) mouse, but constantly use the scroll wheel to zoom in and out, whilst drawing a pen path, in order to get the anchor points precise.

I would say get a mouse that is designed for gaming, where you can change the DPI tracking speed up and down.

Most of the tracking sensors on these mice are more than good enough for pen work.
