When Using the PRINT ONE COPY option in the FILE Menu, does the print use the last set of settings used in the PRINT DIALOG set up?

I did the obvious thing and tried a test print and found that, indeed, the current print dialog settings hold when selecting print one page.  I print greeting cards and My Epson 400 does not always play nice with sheet feeding inkjet stock with the specail coating.  So, If I simply select PRINT 6 copies in the dialog and a sheet misfeeds then it is a mess with counts, etc.  So I like printing one then load paper and use the keyboard shortcut to fill up the print que.  If a misfeed occurs (and it will!), it is easier to stay on track with a simple push of the paper feed button on the printer.

Print settings should be saved in the document (it is sticky per doc). 

Open an image, set up Printer XX, make a print, and nothing more; try closing the document, it should ask you to save it. 

Open the same document, those settings should stick; if you alter them, you're asked for a "Save" again.

Hi @mckinney3, yes, it does exactly that for me. I tested printing to a PDF and to my laser printer, and both retained the changes I made in the Printer setup prior to the Print One Copy command each time (Windows 10, Photoshop 24.0.1 Release). Is it not working that way for you on your macOS?

 

ETA: Interesting, it seems to only retain those settings per image.

    Right. If you don't switch images, the Print One will retain the settings. But honestly, I don't ever remember using the “Print One Copy” feature myself until you mentioned it! Seems as though it would come in handy for exactly what you describe.
