Hi!

I'm wondering if you guys can help me out. I've been trying to install ICC profiles in photoshop, but the profiles folder doesnt exist? I go to adobe/color/ and then it only shows proofing or settings, not the profile folder! I put a screenshot in this post to show you what I mean exactly. Is there a way to add/install the folder? I use a macbook, does that have anything to do with it?

Which instructions were you following for installing the profiles, and are the profiles for printing or for something else? The folders you showed are seen only in Adobe applications, but that is not how you normally do it. Normally, you would put ICC profiles in a folder where all Mac applications can see and use them, similar to how fonts work.

The instructions that melissapiccone linked to are the normal Mac instructions for installing ICC profiles, for use in all color-managed Mac applications, especially for printing. In short, you go to your Home folder and then add the profiles to ~/Library/ColorSync . If a ColorSync folder doesn’t already exist there, it is OK to create one.

Thank u so much!

I needed to install the profiles for printing and I got the instructions from a youtuber called Tiberio Photography. I didn't have a Colorsync folder either, but you were right: creating one was OK and now it works! So again, thank you so much!

On Windows profile are installed into  Windows not Photoshop. Application will use these when they send print jobs to Windows printers. I would think Mac would work like windows.

Thank u for your quick answer! Unfortunately it didn't work for Mac the same way it does for Windows, but I figured it out!
