Printing with transparent background

This might sound silly as I am new to this program. I have an image that has a transparent background however when I print, it prints a white background. On the computer it shows it has a transparent background & it does this white background on every photo I print

Transparent isn't really transparent on a print; unless you are printing on film you can see through (which is transparent).

On a printer using anything else, transparent in Photoshop IS white on a print.

A transparent background means no pixel colour - so how that comes out depends on the surface.

White paper, no ink laid down = white background. Pink paper, no ink = pink background.

As Digital Dog wrote, only if the media is transparent then will the background be transparent.

IF you are printing on transparent media & the printer is laying down white then the printer has a white ink [some do] and the behaviour is not as required.

I'd speak to the people who sold you the printer.

I hope this helps

This video seems to cover what to do if a transparent background is still printing white in Photoshop.

Isn't this up to the system being used? (e.g., The printer and the media/substrate.) Leanne mentioned she's using a DTF printer so I'm assuming she's also using transparent substrate of some sort? (I'm obviously naive on this subject but I find it fascinating. It's good to know if I ever need to do it, too.)

IF the substrate is clear, transparency should print clear.

What printer prints white?

What is the substrate you print on?

Is it white or transparent?

Does your printer offer white as a separate color?

Hi, could you please give the full references of the printer and of the film you print on?

Maybe a screen capture of its print interface, there might be a transparency option (but I doubt, there is a need to have a support to print on.

On such a simple design, I would cut around, so that you would have a simple outline around the design.
Some machines have a cutter option that can follow a path.
