Problem exporting lightroom to photoshop

I lately have a problem with opening files from lightroom in photoshop. Every time I try to open a picture I get the message "The file could not be edited because Adobe Photshop 2024 could not be launched", then it creates a copy of that file in lightroom and opens that copy in Photoshop. All this takes super long. Does anybody know how to fix this? All the apps are updated. Thank you.

I had this also and could not manually edit this area so I had to reinstall PS.

I had this issue and it was resolved by unloading PS Beta and PS and reinstalling the app.  There is a article on Adobe's website with instructions on how to do this without losing your settings and it works fine.

Check your settings under "Preferences" >> "External Editing".

My lightroom did not add / change to PS 2024 after updating, had to do this manually.

I did that and now older versions are not working with Generate Fill

In your creative cloud app -click on the three dots (...) next to the app and select “Other Versions”.

So how do you just go back to the older version?

Yeah! I have the same problem with Photoshop (Beta) Versions 25 and 24.7
But everething works smoothly with version 24.6. So I just rollback to 24.6 version. Hope Adobe will fix this, very annoying bug.

I'm having the same issue.  It first started in the Photoshop Beta and now I can't edit in Photoshop.  Photoshop launches but never brings up the photo.  Need a fix!
