Question

Problem when editing justified text in Hebrew

I have copied and pasted a block of Hebrew text into my file. The paragraph settings are set to middle eastern, middle eastern features, and R-L. The block of text is justified. The problem: gaps are being randomly created within words. When I adjust one area, or sometimes just click, the spacing changes, breaking some words into individual letters/others are being split in two. When I click to remove the spaces, there are no real "spaces" to delete, and the only way to somewhat improve the appearance of the word is changing the character spacing for the letter before the break...but then a new word gets broken up! Working on a tight deadline and distressed by this sudden problem!

Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Rebekaburns,

Sorry to hear that you're facing problems editing text in Hebrew in Photoshop

Which version of Photoshop are you using?

Could you please restore Photoshop app preferences to default and let us know if the issue still persists?

Please refer this article for instructions on how to restore Photoshop preferences:

https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#AdjustpreferencesinPhotoshop

Note: Make sure that you back up all your custom presets, brushes and actions before restoring Photoshop's preferences.Migrate presets, actions, and settings

Thanks,

Akash

Photoshop CC 2019. Will try that and see if it helps.
