MacOS Big Sur, PS 2021
I have several times now, been working on a graphic and I'm working with solid colors, and when I switch to a different color all of a sudden it becomes transparent and I have done nothing to make that happen. I have had to delete PS from my desk top and reinstall several times now as I know no other way to get the solid color back. Anyone know what's going on here?

Check both the Layers panel and the options bar to see if an opacity or Blending mode has been set. If so, tell us where. You may be accidentally using a keyboard shortcut to apply one of these. Make sure the opacity is 100% and the Blending mode is Normal. If it happens again and you don't see it, show a screen shot that shows both of these panels.

You're welcome, @elfstone91 , and I'm glad you can correct it when it happens to you now.
One way change the layer opacity to 60% is to type "6" when you have the Move tool. If you have the Brush tool and type "6", you will change the Brush opacity to 60%.

Does that happen on a specific file or on all files?
Have you tried resetting photoshop preferences settings?
if that did not work, please post a screenshot
