I suddenly started having trouble working with any png files.  When I place one it shows up like the one in the photo with all of the gray lines and such.  It is also happening when I try to use the quick selection tool. You can see from the layers, background copy, what was supposed to be cut out.  I haven't changed anything recently.  This just happened two days ago.  Thanks so much for any help!

Can you provide the png of the car?

Does turning off Photoshop > Preferences > Performance > Legacy Compositing and restarting Photoshop have any bearing on the issue?

Does turning off »Use Graphics Processor« in the Performance Preferences (Photoshop > Preferences > Performance > Graphic Processor Settings) and restarting Photoshop have any bearing on the issue?

Thanks for your quick response!  I tried both and the same thing is happening.  I have used the png file before and it is fine.  MB-Vintage-Cars-2.PNG

I changed it to small and it seems to have fixed the problem!  I have never fooled around with those settings before so I am not sure why I have trouble with it now but thank you!
