Problem with the remove tool

Hello there!

After the last update (I guess, because I didn't keep a track when the latest update took place), whenever I use the 'Remove Tool' the hardware acceleration crashes. I'm using Photoshop everyday without any issue and I didn't change anything on my system the last 2 (or 3) days.

1) Photoshop is updated to latest version

2) Windows 10 is updated to the latest version

3) After I realized the problem I updated to the latest NVidia drivers too (RTX3070), but didn't solve the problem at all.

Has anyone a similar problem or a solution to this?

I am up to date but having this issue. I have a RTX3080. Every now and again the remove tool will take longer than usual, and sometimes will fail to remove (leaving a grey mark). After that I notice I can't use the scrubby zoom feature, which I believe means the hardware acceleration has broken.

Hi there!

That sounds really frustrating! You’ve already done a thorough job updating Photoshop, Windows, and even your NVidia drivers. Since the problem persists, you might want to try disabling the GPU acceleration in Photoshop. You can find this setting under Preferences > Performance. This could help stabilize the 'Remove Tool'.

Looks like it was a bug from the previous update. Yesterday I got a new PS update and it looks like it got adressed. I'm using repeatedly the remove tool, not only it doesn't crush anymore, it also works faster than before.
