Problems with 3D rendering in Photoshop

Hi, I work with Photoshop 2020 (the latest version) on iMac 21,5 inch - Late 2012, processor 2,7 GHz Intel Core i5 quad-core, graphic card NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M 512 MB and RAM 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3.

I’ve some problems with the 3D rendering: the final result at the end of the rendering is very bad, the look is different and there are some little square out of place.

I’ve attached some files as examples before and after the rendering process, files 1 (sphere) before and after, files 2 (sphere) before and after.

Could someone help me? Thank you!

I took your file and got the same issues.

It appears that the IBL is only visible in the ray traced render if metallic is not zero (it should be)

It also appears that the shadows do not match the preview.

 

I exported your model to Blender and got the following :

Preview :

 

 

Render :

 

So the issue appears to be with Photoshop

I took your file and got the same issues.

Hi, I've reinstalled also PS CC 2019 (v. 20.0.9), instead of using the latest version (v. 21.1.2) for the rendering I've used the CC 2019 and the final rendering was good, then I've tried once again using the CC 2020 version and the final result of the rendering was very bad.

Maybe there is a bug in the latest version?

A few things to check.

 

1. In scene properties check Remove Hidden Backfaces.

2. In Edit UV Properties (click the small folder next to Base Color) check that scaling is 100% for U and V . There is a bug in the current version that renders incorrectly if scaling is not 100%

    Thanks for your reply Dave. I've tried your suggestions, but unfortunately the result is the same as before...do you have any suggestions?
