Progress Bar.

Question

Now when there are bugs with "palette" and "window " options in scriptUI, can anyone help me out with showing a progress bar for my scripts? I tried it with the "dialog" option of the progress window but it never allows my script to run in background. 
I want to show my users some sort of loading icon as long as my script executes.
 
Also, I am finding it hard to understand methods like these on the app object ?

Its a lot of work to run a background script process and Adobe doesn't have any sample scripts showing how. Adding a progress bar is pretty easy, its just a child object for your container.

There is a sample in the ESTK SDK that shows how to use a progress bar.
