Progressive jpg

This might not be a common thing but is it possible to check with a PS script to see what type of jpg is loaded into Photoshop ie progressive, baseline or baseline optimised? We're having problems with progressive jpgs but there doesn't seem to be an easy way to determine this Other than using a hex editor and looking for "start of scan marker"

Others here use this more than I do… But have you taken a look at exiftool it has loads of options and Im sure this is covered… You may be able to have it list or move files that you can then process in Photoshop or Bridge… I don't know of a way to do this in Ps or Br…

This is indicated by the EncodingProcess tag as reported by ExifTool.
