I am so confused!!  There have been several updates of late.  I pay a monthly fee for Lightroom and Photoshop.  I now seem to have TWO versions of PS on my laptop!!!  2020 AND 2019CC.  What the heck??

Perfectly normal.

2020 is the latest verison. CC 2019 is the immediately previous version. Adobe allows you to have up to 3 versions installed at the same time.

Some people love that flexibility. Others prefer to just have the latest installed at any time. In the past, Adobe removed the  previous version automatically when upgrading. That caused howls of protest. Sometimes it disrupts workflows or changes features. Other times new bugs may appear. Now they give us the option with the default usually being to keep previous versions.

When you install an upgrade you have the option to retain previous versions or remove them. You installed side-by-side rather than overwriting.

See Step 4 to check the Remove Older Versions box in future.

Thanks but still confused 🙂  So is there no longer a "CC" version?  If not I guess I will just remove the 2019CC version if I will not somehow mess things up by doing so.

CC ("Creative Cloud") was just Adobe's way of differentiating Cloud products from non-Cloud.

Non-Cloud products no longer exist so having "CC" in the name is redundant. Photoshop CC 2019 = Photoshop 2019. Adobe has therefore dropped "CC" from the name of the 2020 version.
