Friends,
I am running Monterey becasue I have 2015 imac and waiting for a upgrade, so cant move to Ventura. PS dowloaded new version 2024 and it takes forever to load and I am experiencing frequent related crashes etc. Is anyone else having this issue? Can I somehow reinstall the earlier version???
Thanks,
Rob

I have a mid 2015 MBP running 12.6.9 and there are no problems, but I have 16 GB ram. 8GB would be sparse.
Anyway you can roll back. Uninstall 2024 via your Creative Cloud Desktop App and install the 2023 version.

Hi @rgarven Go to Photoshop Help Menu/System Info and copy/paste details in a reply. Post only once as the system takes time to process the large amount of data.

When I upgraded, I decided not to keep the settings because I had a ridiculous amount of assests I had hoarded over the years, most which I wasn't using. 2023 took 16s. 2024 8s from startup to final screen. It was one of the last macbooks to allow a drive swap, the memory is glued in at 16 GB. My SSD is a 2 TB WD PCI Express. Processor is a 2.8 GHz Quad-core.
I seriously wish I could say what your Mac's issues are. Good luck chasing it down.

My Mac is still on Monterey, and Photoshop 2024 has been working fine, so the cause might be something else. If uninstalling and reinstalling Photoshop 2024 doesn’t help, you may have to roll back to Photoshop 2023.
A difference between my Mac and yours is that mine is a recent Apple Silicon Mac, so there might be an issue related to older Intel-based Macs. But if the Mac meets the Photoshop 2024 system requirements, it should at least run without crashing.

I have a 2015 MB and am able to run Monterey without issue, but could not upgrade to 2024. I would concur to try and uninstall and reinstall 2023.
