PS 25.5.1 not maintaining aspect ratio

I using W11 and just upgraded to 25.5.1 today. When I drag an image, aspect ration is not working. It shows linked in my image > image size. This started yesterday (was using previous version then). I am sure I just clicked something, but can't figure out what and I have spent 2 hours already trying to fix this. Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you!

Try resetting the tools and/or preferences.
To restore preferences quickly using a keyboard shortcut:

Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift (Windows) or Option+Command+Shift (Mac OS) as you start Photoshop. You are prompted to delete the current settings. The new preferences files are created the next time you start Photoshop.
Note: Using the keyboard shortcut, preference files for custom shortcuts, workspaces, and color settings will also be reset to default.

I appreciate your help. That didn't work so I resorted to uninstalling and installing a fresh copy. All is good now. I am a graphic designer (not photo editing) and I constantly resize so this was pretty important to me. I learned a lesson - don't go clicking when you are frustrated or rushed! LOL

Preferences > General > Use Legacy Free Transform.

Thank you for that, but none address this issue with photoshop. Have already searched and didn't find anything relevant except to adjust the setting in image size - which didn't work for me.
