Question

PS brush preview won't show when adjusting

I just updated to the lates version yesterday and notice that the brush preview (when adjusting with command+alt) Mac, just will show the circle. The fill-in color (red) just isn't there so it's really impossible to guess what effect the hardness will have on the brush strokes.  Really UPSETTING!

Hi

Go into preferences and check to see if OpenCL is enabled, if it's grayed out more than likely you're using a MAC with an old GPU, Adobe have rendered older GPU's useless with this update, the only option you have is to revert back to version 21.1.3

Not what I was expecting from Adobe... To put it simply, I think this sucks.

Any chance to see this revised and patched?

I posted about it on the Adobe feedback forum, you can add to that post if you like

https://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/bug-in-photoshop-version-21-2-not-detecting-older-gpus

Adobe engineers monitor that site, whether or not something will be done about it remains to be seen, this update also causes issues with legacy compositing enabled on PC's with modern GPU's, seems to me that it is somehow related to the new compositing engine and the old one.

Older GPU's work fine with version 21.1.3
