Painting in photoshop is extremely slow on top mac hardware.
I work here in Photoshop 25.5 on a Mac M2 Ultra with 192GB Ram and 4TB HD. Whether I draw with the mouse on a standard screen or with the pen on a Wacom Cintiq, the brushes lag. Even with the Basic Round brush in a 1024px file without layers, I have to wait 2 seconds at the end of the brushstroke for Photoshop to catch up. I took the performance settings from the Adobe recommendations. Everything else runs very well on this computer, even Photoshop filters etc. are very fast. Only digital painting is impossible. Does anyone have any ideas what I could try? Or is there a known problem for this constellation that I haven't found on the web?
Thanks in advance, Dani.

Hahaha, found the solution for myself. The brush smoothing option was on 100%! I don’t know why, the settings was copied of an older system which works well… So now I set it to 10% and all works fine. Thanks Dani 😉
